Last week we were planning to meet as usual on Saturday, we had a nice plan to learn some food vocabulary vie cooking Russian pancakes, but I found out that it is a Tampereen päivä and there were some activities held in the city centre and almost all museums had free entrance. Of course, we couldnät miss that opportunity and decided to go to one of the museums. We’ve chosen a Moomi museum because it’s so Finnish!
It was my first time there and it really looked like I got into Moomi world. What I really appreciated that they had all the information given in electronic device where we could choose the language we want to read. We tried to focus only on Russian and Finnish and even though texts were really hard we did really great job. I learnt how to ask “Where is museum?” – “Missä on museo?” and “Have you ever been to this museum?” – “Oletko koskaan ollut tähän museoon?” I think I made pretty good with text translation as well.
Moreover, we noticed that some words in Finnish language are so alike with Russian, for example: thief-вор-varas or to be out of your mind – не все дома – Kaikki muumit ei ole laaksossa that was interesting to know 🙂
And nice words from Moominpappa for you at the end of my post 🙂
