9th meeting ; last meeting, feeling like Christmas is coming.

I lost two before meeting because of school schedule and unchecking message.
So, it’s actually, 9th meeting in our group, but 7th to me.
We met at the Vapriikki.
Before that, I heard about Vapriikki from other exchange students who visited there before.
As I head, It was various.
Especially, we enjoyed looking 2nd floor which have a theme about Finnish nature and industry.
We had a funny time like a kids!
On this day I can see and experience how much Finnish people love Ice hockey and their industry.
And also felt we are pretty friendly already!
I felt so happy because I didn’t see other members quite long time.
I miss you already
We planned celebrate Mexican holiday for Dead people in Sofia’s place.
Dia de los muesrtos is the day of Death.
Normally they prepare some food for the dead relatives with your family.
It’s on 1st and 2nd of November.
Like our second meeting with Mexican independence day,
we could experience mexican holiday.
Each one bring some food and candles.
We did a game which is saying continually a word with last alphabet from last word.
And, We played it with only in Spanish or Finnish!
We could learn some words in Spanish and Finnish
like a squirrel called Orava in Finnish, Ardilla in Spanish.
It was such a sweet and productive night
we had our last meeting today. As before, I have learned lots of daily expressions in Finnish. And I would say, my partner Rulis is really a good language teacher. until now, I have acquired lots of Finnish phases which can be used in the daily communications. The contents I have learned in this are as follows:
aamulla=in the morning
aamupäivällä=before noon
päivällä=in the midday
iltapäivällä=in the afternoon
illalla=in the evening
yöllä=in the night
punainen = red
sininen=blue
keltainen=yellow
valkoinen =white
musta=black
vihreä=green
ruskea=brown
harmaa=grey
These are all the contents I learned in this lesson. even though this is the last lesson for EOTO course, but my passion of learnig Finnish cannot be blocked, so in the following day, I will still try to grasp any kinds of opportunity to learn Finnish and Finnish culture. And I believe that I can speak Finnish pretty well in the future.
Our last meeting was both extremely fun and kinda bitter, since it was the last time I was seeing my group members. We went to Tallipiha christmas market, which was, once again, a new experience for me.
I really liked the small old buildings and all the handcrafted stuff they were selling there. My personal favourite had to be the tiny chocolate shop – it smelled incredible there. It was too bad that all of the shops weren’t open, because Tallipiha is a great example of finnish christmas traditions. I would recommend it to anyone, especially foreigners.
Later we went for a coffee. This time we didn’t really learn anything special language-wise but we talked about christmas and what we would do and what we normally do in our home countries. It was very nice, as usual, especially because there was a quartet playing Bach there. Cool!
This experience in general has been a good one to me. I did learn some basic spanish and was able to strenghten my english, but I think the most important thing was that I learned a lot about new cultures. I made new friends from all around the world, and couln’t be happier about that. I think I will definitely keep on learning spanish, this was a great kickstart for that. Thank you to everyone in our group for this experience! Adiós! Buena suerte!
We continue our ninth meeting in the library of TAMK today. I have learned some usefully daily expressions in Finnish. the contens are as follows:
Tervetuloa Juhliin=welcome to party

Kutsun Hansin ja Barbaran. =I´ll invite Hans and Barbara.
Kuka tekee ruokaa? =Who will make food?
Onko sinulla jano?=Are you thirsty?
Onko sinulla kuuma?=Do you feel cold? Are you cold?
These are all the contents I learned this time. After that, we review some expressions given in last time. Now I am able to communicate with finnish people by using some simple words. Thanks a lot for my partner Rulis.
we have the eighth meeting in the library of TAMK today. And I have learned some daily words and sentences about the time. the contents are as follows:
when does class begin? = milloin kurssi alkaa?
when do your finnish class end? =million sinun suomen kussi coppuu?

we continue our senventh meeting today, this time we came to the biggest library in the city center .This is the first time I have come there, and I would say it is a really big library. I have got a library card there. on that day we really talk a lot about different kinds books and my partner introduced a good book for me called twilight, which is a really famous novel all over the world. so I borrowed this book from the library. After that, we came to a CD shop, in which we chose the CDs of our favorite siners respectively, and then we appreciated those CDs together, and I would say we have a lot of fun by talking about ourfavorite singers. Then we left the library, and come to another CD shop to buy a CD for my partners’ friend
I am pretty happy that I have such a common hobby with my partner, so pthat I will have more topics when I communicate with my partner Rulis.
we continue our fifth meeting at my partner’s home. Actually, we didn’t perform our learning of Finnish words today, I just felt the Finnish food culture. My partner has prepared a salmon fish, which is cook quite a finnish way. And I wood say this is first time l have try the finnish fish, and it was pretty delicious.
It was a really enjous time, and we talk a lot at that time. I really appreciate that my partner Rulis hold such a amazing party for me. Thanks a lot!
