for our seventh meeting on the 30th of October, our learning team spent another night out at Miami Club with the terrible DJ Cliff, but still the atmosphere was good as always 😉
Although learning and teaching was difficult that day, we tried to exchange some party culture knowledge and especially some lyric lines from famous German and Spanish/Mexican songs. That made it a really funny evening. Although the music was terrible in my opinion, the big amount of fellow exchange students and beer made it another good party.
When there was some quiet time outside in the smoking area, I asked Oscar if going out to clubs in the weekend is also common in Mexico, which is obviously the case. I explained to him that the partying and festivals has become a huge business in Germany recently, as more and more young people socialize in club and are willing to spend a lot of money on it.
Some words and expressions I learned (lyrics edition):
‘Que no pare la fiesta!’ – ‘Don’t stop the party’
‘Dale a tu cuerpo alegría Macarena’ – ‘Give your body some joy, Macarena’
Bailar contigo, tener contigo … una noche loca – ‘Dance with you, own you … in this crazy night’
